Meet Lucy Young –– the freshman phenom hooper taking Kalamazoo by storm

KALAMAZOO, MI –– The start of Lucy Young’s varsity basketball career went about as expected for a freshman –– two quick personal fouls in all of one minute of game action.

Yet, once Young collected herself, received a pep talk from her Kalamazoo Hackett coaches and teammates and found harmony with the game she adores, the rest of that contest against Coloma –– and her 2024-25 campaign –– has been history.
